Subject: Clarification about Masks - Outdoors

1-Q I have obviously had some follow up remarks/questions since your first FAQ message yesterday.  So, do spectators have to wear masks at outdoor events. Your message indicates they do. Is that correct?

2-Q From Tom R: Coaches, Athletes in the dug-out, non-participants, managers, trainers, volunteers/work staff, and spectators must wear a mask at all times at a CHSAA event. Active participants and officials are exempt from wearing a mask (outdoors only) per state orders. These requirements were reviewed and approved by the COVID Response Team for resuming HS Athletics and Activities. The mandate may be a stricter standard than your county health but required.
